Full-Time Two-Year-Old and Three-Year-Old Teacher (2 Positions Available)
Tiny Steps Learning Center is currently seeking two caring, dependable, and energetic teachers to join our team in our two-year-old and three-year-old classrooms. Position
Two-Year-Old and Three-Year-Old Teacher
Schedule
Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
All weekends off
All holidays off
Pay
$9.00–$16.00 per hour, based on education, experience, and qualifications.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be 21 years of age or older
High school diploma or equivalent required
Valid driver’s license required
Experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children preferred but not required
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to pass all required background checks and meet North Carolina child care employment requirements
Responsibilities
The teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for two-year-old and three-year-old children while ensuring compliance with all North Carolina Department of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE) regulations and center policies.
Responsibilities include:
Safely supervise children at all times
Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children
Follow all DCDEE licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and center policies
Maintain accurate attendance records and complete all required documentation and paperwork
Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents and guardians
Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate activities
Assist with daily routines and classroom transitions
Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom
Clean and sanitize tables, toys, and classroom materials daily
Keep the classroom and learning centers stocked and organized
Clean and maintain the children’s room throughout the day
Use positive guidance techniques to encourage appropriate behavior
Participate in outdoor play and recreational activities
Work collaboratively with fellow staff members and administration
Attend required staff meetings and training sessions
Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the program
