Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, and ensuring all systems operate efficiently. Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to identify maintenance needs and perform necessary repairs promptly.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including lighting, outlets, circuit breakers, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Perform mechanical repairs involving HVAC systems, elevators, plumbing, and other building infrastructure.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately and execute repairs effectively.
- Carry out residential painting, carpentry, welding, and other handyman tasks to maintain the property's appearance and functionality.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed and work is completed efficiently.
- Use tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to assess electrical circuits and components.
- Lead or support team members in maintenance tasks while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and customer service excellence.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance within hospitality or residential environments.
- Proficiency with electrical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting tools like ohmmeters.
- Skilled in welding, residential painting, carpentry, and general handyman skills.
- Experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) in building automation or manufacturing settings.
- Ability to read technical schematics and manuals accurately for complex repairs.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for scheduling maintenance tasks and recording work orders.
- Supervising or leadership experience is preferred to guide team efforts effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration with team members.
