Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and mental illnesses.
Duties
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication activities.
- Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents’ health stability.
- Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition while maintaining a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties.
- Engage residents in social activities and community outings to promote socialization and mental stimulation.
- Document observations, incidents, and care provided meticulously to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and communicate effectively with healthcare teams. Qualifications
- Knowledge of caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illness
- Will provide:
- Certification or training in first aid and CPR is required; medication administration or behavior management are advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and a positive attitude.
- Valid driver’s license for transportation duties related to community outings or appointments.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents and families
- Physical ability to perform caregiving.
Pay: $17.00 per hour
