Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Liquor Store Manager to lead our retail team and drive store success. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all store activities, ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to company policies.
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new employees, providing comprehensive training on customer service, sales techniques, POS systems, and store procedures.
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, purchasing, and merchandising to optimize product availability and presentation.
- Oversee cash handling, cashiering operations, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and budgeting tasks with accuracy and integrity.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase retail sales volume across various departments including wireless sales or grocery sections as applicable.
- Monitor employee performance through coaching, performance reviews, and ongoing training & development initiatives.
- Maintain excellent communication skills with staff and customers; handle customer inquiries with professionalism using phone etiquette and effective problem-solving skills.
Requirements
- Proven management experience in liquor retail environments with supervising responsibilities; assistant manager experience is highly valued.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent leadership qualities with a focus on team management, employee orientation, and motivating staff toward shared goals.
- Proficiency in retail math including pricing strategies, sales management, budgeting, and inventory management techniques.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively.
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering procedures, inventory control software, and retail marketing tools.
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, purchasing decisions, stock stocking, merchandising, and store presentation.
- Exceptional communication skills coupled with phone etiquette; capable of managing time effectively while overseeing shift management duties.
