Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Bar Manager to lead our vibrant bar operations and create memorable experiences for our guests. Duties
- Supervise all bar operations, including food service, drink service, and customer interactions to ensure a lively and welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to maintain high standards of service and operational efficiency.
- Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste through effective food and beverage management.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling, sales processing, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food handling, food safety standards, and alcohol service laws.
- Lead shift management by coordinating team efforts during busy hours to deliver quick service in a casual dining or bar environment.
- Conduct staff interviews, performance reviews, and training sessions to foster a motivated team committed to excellence.
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to uphold our reputation for outstanding hospitality.
- Collaborate with kitchen management on food production, catering events, or banquet services when applicable.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area while supervising food preparation and culinary activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality management with supervising responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices within casual dining or fine dining settings.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for cash handling and sales transactions.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in staff training, team management, interviewing, and development.
- Knowledge of inventory control procedures including ordering, stock rotation, and waste reduction.
- Experience managing budgets, shift operations, and ensuring compliance with health regulations related to food handling.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Previous experience working in hotel or bar environments is highly desirable; culinary or catering experience is a plus.
