Overview
IBTC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Massage Therapist for Sundays 9am to 6pm. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of anatomy and physiology, along with excellent client service skills. The Massage Therapist will be responsible for providing therapeutic massage treatments tailored to the individual needs of clients, promoting relaxation, pain relief, and overall wellness. This is a independent contractor position.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual needs and health conditions.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on client assessments and preferences.
- Perform various types of massage techniques, including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to address specific areas of pain or tension.
- Maintain accurate records of client sessions, including treatment details and progress notes.
- Educate clients on self-care techniques and pain management strategies.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all clients.
- Uphold high standards of customer service to enhance client satisfaction and retention.
- Be punctual , reliable, and responsible.
Requirements
- Valid massage therapy license in accordance with state regulations.
- Experience in various massage techniques, such as myofascial release, hot stone, swedish massage, medical massage, particularly deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy.
- Must have valid massage therapy liability insurance.
- Understanding of occupational health principles related to massage therapy.
- Ability to perform patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of massage therapy.
- Conduct financial transactions following client sessions.
