McTech Dental Lab is looking for an experienced Dental Laboratory CAD/CAM Technician to join our team here in Billings, the largest city in beautiful Montana.
McTech is a small 7-person fixed lab that has been in operation for 33 years. We proudly operate in a high impact field and believe strongly that what we do matters. We handle full mouth fixed and implant restorative cases daily. We are known for High end aesthetic results and shade matching. Our manufacturing methods handle everything in house, using only reputable materials, and we are constantly looking for ways to incorporate the latest hardware and software in meaningful ways.
Our founder and head technician, Mark McKee, is the go-to technician for fixed complex full mouth rehabilitation and aesthetic rehabilitation in our region. Our other senior ceramist, Phill Wiiliams, has been doing small batch high-end aesthetic cases for 25 years. McTech has a great work environment with motivated and fun co-workers, fostering a culture of collaboration and learning.
An experienced CAD/CAM technician would be working directly with these seasoned veterans to vet and integrate the fast-evolving dental lab technologies with tried-and-true traditional methods to create a higher standard of restoration that our doctors should expect for their patients.

Job duties include:
- Utilizing CAD software (we use exocad) to design and CAM hardware to manufacture in some part or whole: Fixed crown and Bridge restorations. Implant restorations. Custom bars and abutments. Surgical Implant Placement Guides. Crown lengthening Guides. Bite guards. Wax-ups. Model work. All on X
- Familiarity with implant components and the various brands and systems with the capacity to keep up with innovations and changes.
- Achieve desired aesthetics and occlusal function of a complex case utilizing digitally rendered semi-adjustable articulators and face bows to meet patient specific goals.
- Utilizing CAD/CAM, imaging, and other technologies Communicate and collaborate with client doctors or other specialists.
- Utilize lab management software (we use Magic Touch) and be willing to adapt to the advances and updates to fully exploit its capabilities.
Requirements for fulfillment of these duties include:
- Experience in the dental lab field and or formal dental technician education is greatly desired.
- High degree of attention to detail
- Professional, Personable, Reliable
- Able to relocate if necessary
- Computer, Dental Sciences and Technology Aptitude
- Dental CAD aptitude. (We use exocad)
