Job Title: Low Voltage Installer Technician II
Position Summary:
The Low Voltage Installer Technician II is responsible for the installation, termination, and certification of network cabling systems. This position requires hands-on experience in rack stacking, cable mapping, dressing, labeling, and documentation according to industry standards. The ideal candidate will hold a current BICSI Installer 2 certification and demonstrate a high level of technical skill, attention to detail, and professionalism in customer environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, terminate, label, and test Cat6/Cat6a and fiber optic cabling per project specifications and BICSI standards.
- Perform rack and stack of network equipment including switches, patch panels, servers, and routers.
- Create, update, and validate cable maps, ensuring accurate network documentation.
- Dress and organize cables within racks, pathways, and ceilings to maintain professional appearance and clear labeling.
- Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and network design drawings.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and team leads to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within scope.
- Adhere to jobsite safety protocols and use proper PPE and tools as required.
- Conduct fiber and copper testing and troubleshooting to ensure system functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of installation work, materials, and test results.
Qualifications:
- BICSI Installer 2, Copper or Fiber certification (required).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in low voltage or structured cabling installation.
- Proven rack and stack experience in data center or network room environments.
- Strong knowledge of cable routing, management, and dressing best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret network cabling maps and as-built documentation.
- Familiarity with test equipment such as Fluke DSX cable analyzers.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in varied environments (offices, ceilings, data centers).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Work Environment:
This position involves travel to customer sites, including construction and industrial environments. Standard work hours are daytime, with occasional after-hours or weekend assignments based on project requirements.

Pay: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour
