Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles with automatic transmissions across assigned routes.
- Deliver pre loaded trailers to Trader Joe’s Store locations.
- Assist store personnel unload freight using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks ensuring proper handling of refrigerated goods.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Deliver freight accurately to assigned destination adhering to scheduled routes and delivery windows.
- Manage route driving efficiently while maintaining communication with dispatch for updates or changes.
- Maintain detailed ELD logs of driving hours, load details, inspections, and delivery documentation to ensure compliance and accountability.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license with at least 1 year of experience operating tractor-trailers.
- Prior delivery driver experience involving freight handling and route driving is preferred.
- Ability to assist customers with the unload of freight safely using manual pallet jack.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, safety standards, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
