Position Summary
We are looking for a dependable, motivated, and customer-focused Shift Lead to help oversee the daily operations of our store. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, and takes pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
As a Shift Lead, you will learn all aspects of operating a Kilwins store and will play a key role in ensuring each shift runs smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Open and close the store following company procedures.
- Lead and support team members throughout each shift.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns professionally.
- Learn and operate all store systems, including POS, cash handling, and daily reporting, production, etc.
- Prepare and serve premium ice cream, chocolates, fudge, caramel apples, and other Kilwins products.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and organization.
- Assist with inventory management, stocking, and product rotation.
- Train and mentor new team members.
- Ensure all company policies and operational procedures are followed.
- Monitor product quality and presentation.
- Communicate effectively with store management regarding operations, staffing, and customer feedback.
- Help achieve sales goals by creating a positive and energetic shopping experience.
Qualifications
- Previous retail, restaurant, or food service experience preferred.
- Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
