What started at LA farmers markets has grown into national retail, including Whole Foods and Costco. We're on a mission to bring a pocket-worthy snack into every household, with one simple promise: delicious first, better for you always.
We're currently recruiting motivated Sanitation Technicians to join the Pocket's Chocolates team! You will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness of our food production areas. We're scaling operations fast, and for the right person this role is a clear path to leading our sanitation crew as the team grows.
This position is third shift, Monday through Friday and weekends as needed.
What you'll do
- Clean and sanitize production equipment, food contact surfaces, and the facility to our written procedures.
- Mop floors, remove waste, and keep the production area orderly.
- Follow food safety and cleaning guidelines at all times.
- Handle deep cleaning during scheduled sanitation shutdowns, including equipment disassembly and heavier lifting.
- Keep sanitation records accurate and complete.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to management promptly.
What we're looking for:
- 1+ years of sanitation experience in food or beverage manufacturing preferred.
- Experience in janitorial, dishwasher, cleanroom work, food production, catering, commercial kitchens, restaurants, or bakeries.
- Solid understanding of food safety such as GMPs, HACCP, SQF, allergen control, and chemical safety is a plus.
- Comfortable with physical, hands-on work: standing, lifting 30-50lbs, scrubbing, etc.
- Great attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive in learning and improving.
- Team spirit!
- Flexible schedule to support production cleaning needs during peak periods.
- Bilingual is a plus (Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, and others)

Pay: $20.15 - $23.15 per hour

- This role is an evening shift, typically 4pm to 12am (midnight), Monday-Friday. Depending on the production schedule, hours may be extended and can include weekends as needed. Are there any schedule constraints we should know about?
