Role and Responsibilities
The Production Scheduler will coordinate daily production requirements across all levels of the organization while maintaining the flow of materials to production to ensure orders ship on time. You will work with the management team to ensure that production deadlines and schedules are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and maintain daily schedules and priorities for assigned production lines to achieve sales goals.
- Attend production planning meetings to communicate production expectations or challenges.
- Communicate with customer service and update availability dates on customer orders, which may include expediting orders and re-scheduling production.
- Review daily “Negative OH Inventory” report and assist cycle counting of physical inventory for materials and products related to assigned production lines.
- Create intercompany transfers and corresponding transfers.
- Serve as a daily point of contact and liaison with Customer Service, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production departments to coordinate sales orders status, completion dates or delays.
- Convert and release production orders in ERP system to maximize availability of product to meet confirmed ship dates, inventory goals and exceed service goals while optimizing equipment and plant utilization.
- Maintain 100% accuracy of the ERP scheduling tracker system and relating MRP elements to communication is clear to all users.
- Understand the flow of raw materials and product movement in production and storage areas to gain increases in efficiency over time through sequencing of production orders.

Education & Qualifications
- HS Diploma required.
- Technical or manufacturing training preferred.
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience required.
- Experience in production planning or production scheduling strongly preferred.

Technical Skills
- Advanced computer skills including MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with ERP or MRP systems preferred.

- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to use standard office equipment including a telephone, computer, keyboard, and mouse.
- Ability to move about freely throughout the office and production facility.
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
