Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Locksmith Technician to join our dynamic security team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of security and access control systems. Your expertise will ensure the safety and security of commercial and residential clients by delivering exceptional service and technical support. Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and service electrical security systems including alarm systems, access control, CCTV surveillance, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and fire alarm systems.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to accurately implement system designs.
- Troubleshoot and repair low-voltage electrical wiring, cabling, equipment faults, and system malfunctions using hand tools and power tools.
- Conduct routine inspections of physical security systems such as door security integration, surveillance cameras, sensors, and remote access software.
- Perform system upgrades, component replacements, and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal operation of all security equipment.
- Provide technical troubleshooting support for complex security system issues involving electrical systems, networking components, and hardware failures.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain system functions, provide training on system operation, and deliver excellent customer service throughout service visits.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician or locksmith with a focus on electrical security systems installation and troubleshooting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and low-voltage electrical wiring techniques.
- Familiarity with computer hardware setup, network configuration, and remote access software related to security systems.
- Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and interpret wiring diagrams accurately.
- Knowledge of CCTV installation including cameras, sensors, alarms, intercoms, and surveillance equipment.
- Experience working with fire alarm systems and low-voltage electrical systems in commercial or residential settings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
- Strong customer service orientation with clear communication skills to interact professionally with clients.
- Valid technical certifications or training in electrical systems or security technology is preferred but not mandatory.
