Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, part-time Facility/Grounds Technician to manage the landscape and hardscape maintenance around our aquatics and racquets facilities. Operating in coordination with our broader turf and grounds crew, this individual will ensure these high-traffic areas remain pristine and safe.
While the core of this role is outdoor groundskeeping, there is a unique opportunity for the right candidate. If you have basic handyman skills and are looking to take on more responsibilities (and hours), this role can be expanded to include light clubhouse/ facilities maintenance. (this is a fully optional perk of this job)
Core Responsibilities (Grounds & Landscaping):
- Turf & Detail Maintenance: Perform precision mowing, edging, and string-trimming in tight-quarters and high-traffic areas surrounding the pool decks and court perimeters.
- Ornamental Care: Maintain landscape beds specifically tied to the facilities through regular weeding, mulching, planting, and pruning.
- Hardscaping Projects: Execute and maintain small hardscape installations, including paver repairs, retaining wall upkeep, and decorative stone placement.
- Daily Site Prep: Blow off courts, clear walkways, and manage debris to ensure the immediate perimeters are spotless prior to daily member access.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate and perform basic preventative maintenance on walk-behind mowers, string trimmers, blowers, and small utility vehicles.
Potential Additional Duties (Optional for the Right Candidate):
- Light Facility Maintenance: Perform minor indoor/outdoor repairs around the clubhouse, change lightbulbs, and handle basic handyman tasks to supplement your part-time grounds hours.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in commercial landscaping, golf course maintenance, or highly detailed groundskeeping.
- Proven hands-on experience with small landscape equipment (trimmers, blowers, push/walk-behind mowers).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot and resolve aesthetic issues proactively.
- Self-starter mentality; ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Bonus: Basic building maintenance or handyman skills are a strong plus (if interested in the expanded clubhouse duties).
Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
