Responsibilities
- Conduct face-to-face outreach at community events, high schools, and public spaces to promote educational programs and university offerings
- Deliver engaging presentations and information sessions tailored to diverse audiences about academic programs, admissions processes, and campus life
- Build rapport with prospective students and their families to understand their interests and answer questions about enrollment procedures
- Utilize digital tools such as Ellucian (a popular student information system) to track outreach efforts and follow up with interested individuals
- Collaborate with university staff and academic advisors to ensure accurate dissemination of program details and application requirements
- Maintain detailed records of interactions, outreach activities, and follow-up actions to support recruitment goals
- Assist in organizing recruitment events, campus tours, and informational sessions to showcase university facilities and student services
Experience
- Previous experience in public speaking, education administration, or recruiting is highly desirable
- Working with students or in a university environment provides valuable insight into academic processes and student needs
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences confidently
- Familiarity with Ellucian or similar student management systems enhances your effectiveness in tracking recruitment activities
- Experience in teaching or academic advising can be an asset when addressing student questions about programs or career pathways
