Babb Financial Group | Flagstaff, Arizona | Full-time, in-office
About Us
Babb Financial Group is a family-founded wealth management firm serving clients since 1981, with offices in Flagstaff and Sedona. Our team provides integrated investment management, tax preparation, and insurance planning to pre-retirees and retirees nationwide.
The Role
This is a management role. The Director of Operations runs the day-to-day of the firm, managing everything from our processes to our people to our systems so the whole operation hums. You set the pace, hold the team accountable to deadlines and service standards, and make sure every client request is answered on time and nothing falls through the cracks. If leading a team to a zero-overdue task list and a well-documented playbook genuinely satisfies you, this is your seat.
Responsibilities
- Review open and overdue tasks daily and follow up until each is closed
- Enforce written client service standards and turnaround times
- Run the weekly team huddle and keep the firm's meeting rhythm on track
- Own the recruiting pipeline: postings, screening, first-round interviews, and scheduling finalists
- Manage onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and PTO tracking
- Administer and improve our technology stack, including Wealthbox CRM and workflow automation
- Manage vendors, service contracts, and facilities across both offices
- Process payroll and accounts payable and track spending against budget
- Document processes so every seat has a written playbook
- Deliver a monthly operations dashboard covering service metrics, overdue items, and issues resolved
You Are a Fit If
- You are precise by nature; details are the standard, not a chore
- You follow through relentlessly, and an open loop bothers you until it is closed
- You are comfortable holding people accountable, kindly and without drama
- You work exceptionally hard and take ownership of outcomes, not just activities
- You would rather build a system that prevents a mistake than catch the same one twice
