POSITION: Assistant Alternate Public Defender (Family Court)

SALARY: Up to $103,000 commensurate with experience.
LOCATION & HOURS: 112 State Street, Albany, NY 12207, 8:30am - 4:30pm, M-F

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Albany County Alternate Public Defender’s Office is seeking an attorney for assignment in our Family Court Office. The ideal
candidate will have a strong commitment to public defense; specifically providing high quality legal representation to indigent parents
in Family Court matters. We are looking for attorneys with experience in Family Court who can handle assignments to represent par-
ties in custody and family offense matters (both Petitioners and Respondents), and also the defense of child neglect and child abuse
matters. The starting salary is commensurate with the experience of the applicant. Excellent fringe benefits are provided; including
health insurance, dental and vision insurance, paid leave, and membership in the New York State Retirement system.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Attorney with a New York State bar admission (or ability to waive into New York State from another jurisdiction).
