CPF has an exciting opening in our Nashua location for a Purchasing and Inventory Specialist. In this role you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts, and optimizing warehouse operations. you will be responsible for providing a wide variety of purchasing and administrative support to the company and management members. This role requires a strong understanding of inventory control systems and logistics. The Inventory Controller will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining efficient materials handling processes and supporting overall supply chain effectiveness.
What you will be accomplishing in our team environment
- Manage inventory systems and warehousing. Works with supply chain to plan and maintain inventory at optimal levels and resolves issues and discrepancies related to inventory.
- Utilizes Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and manage stock.
- Conducts regular audits of inventory to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Prepares and enters vendor purchase orders into MRP system.
- Prepares and sorts Purchase Order documents from vendors and identifies and interprets data to be entered.
- Responds to inquiries from vendors regarding orders.
- Issues purchase and work orders to generate product shipments by verifying specifications and price.
- Maintains status of orders through entire process.
- Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers, monitoring and expediting orders.
- Maintains and manages accurate records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, and/or supplies stocked.
- Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.
- Schedules Purchasing Shipments
- Oversees the Purchasing Email.
- Assists with back-order system and inventory levels.
- Enters and Edits BOM and routing steps in MRP system.
- Issues module paperwork and production orders.
- Creates work orders and pulls necessary raw materials.
- Maintains inventory on raw materials and consumables.
- Generates and follows up on purchase requests.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience in purchasing and inventory control or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Prior experience as a Purchasing Specialist.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and logistics processes.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing stock levels.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
- Strong attention to detail, data-entry and clerical skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and Outlook and Data Entry.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field with 3 + years of experience or High School diploma with 5 years of experience in a purchasing .
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of Database Software, Internet Software, Manufacturing Software and Microsoft Office Software.
