Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be proficient in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems. This role is essential for ensuring the reliability and performance of our fleet, providing top-notch service to our customers, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including but not limited to brake repair, shocks, and struts.
- Utilize automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Fabricate parts as necessary to complete repairs or modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding vehicle issues and repairs needed.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in diesel mechanics.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar systems is a plus.
- Strong skills in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Previous experience in vehicle maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction.
