A crater works with lumber and plywood to build pallets, skids, and customer crates including the internal packaging.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Build, construct and assemble industrial crates.

Using hand and power tools cut and assemble materials to build the crates.

Assist in the construction of crates using panel saw and up-cut chop saw to cut plywood and lumber for crates.

Assist in the construction and assembly of crates using pneumatic hand tools (stapler, nail gun).
- Pack product into crates using misc. packing materials.

Prepare and close barrier bag material using a hot roller/sealer.

Strap and band crates and skids for shipment.

Move and load crates using a forklift.

Ability to use hand and power tools and read a tape measure.

Dismantle and store crating tools and materials after use.
Minimum Qualifications:

HS diploma or equivalent.

Valid Driver’s License.

Minimum of one (1) year proven experience or comparable field preferably within the construction service industry in carpentry-related work (framing, crating, residential finish work).

Ability to use precision measuring tools and equipment; hand, power, and pneumatic tools, read a tape measure.
