Overview

Duties
- Work with crew to complete all aspects of jobs assigned by company, including tear off, repairs, installation.
- Install, repair, and maintain various commercial roofing systems such as metal roofs, single-ply membranes, and flat roofs following detailed construction plans and schematics
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively to cut, shape, and install roofing materials
- Adhere strictly to construction safety protocols including the proper use of safety harnesses, ladder use procedures, heavy lifting techniques, and site safety regulations
- Assist in set-up and tear down of safety equipment as instructed.
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Laborers/apprentices must exhibit basic skills necessary to work in roofing.
- Roof systems, metal siding, and metal trim installation - ability to learn necessary skills and execute them correctly.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to pay attention to quality and safety with a goal of installing correctly and working safely and willingness to make improvements.
- Familiarity with roofing materials such as metal roofing panels and single-ply membrane systems
- Language skills with the ability to read, analyze and interpret work-related documents.
- Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions with outdoor work experience preferred
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, scaffolding equipment safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations including the proper use of safety harnesses and ladder safety practices a must.
- Background in related trades such as carpentry, masonry, welding or handyman work is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to lift heavy materials safely and perform physically demanding tasks consistently.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
