Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of service technicians and advisors to achieve performance goals
- Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance including oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension work, tire services, alignments, shocks & struts, air brake systems, diesel engine repairs, and auto body repairs
- Ensure all services are performed in compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Drive sales through upselling additional services such as auto estimating, automotive diagnostics, and vehicle maintenance packages
- Maintain excellent customer service by addressing concerns promptly and providing transparent communication about repairs and costs
- Monitor inventory levels for parts and supplies; manage cash handling procedures accurately
- Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with comprehensive auto service management expertise
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various automotive systems including transmissions, brakes, suspensions, oil changes, alignments, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repair
- Skilled in automotive diagnostics and repair techniques with hands-on experience as a service technician or mechanic
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Proficient in auto estimating software and service writing procedures
- Demonstrated ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust
- Knowledge of auto sales processes and automobile sales strategies is a plus
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
