Job Description:
We are seeking highly specialized Open Circuit Dive Equipment Support personnel to report to the LOGSU-1 Dive Department LCPO. You will manage the preventative and corrective maintenance, repair, and inventory of extensive dive life support systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance as mandated by OPNAVINST 4790 (series) for over 2,000 open circuit items (SCUBA tanks, regulators, air compressors, Haskel booster pumps).
- Perform documentation of SCUBA diving equipment maintenance for certification programs.
- Overhaul and set proper limits for 200 breathing regulators.
- Visually inspect interior/exterior and ensure proper hydrostatic testing of high-pressure air cylinders.
- Maintain Diving Life Support System (DLSS) equipment IAW US Navy Dive Manuals.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Must possess Navy Dive School certification (NEC 5342/5342 or higher).
- Must possess qualifications as a Material Maintenance Management (3M) Maintenance Man, 3M QA Craftsman, and 3M Work Center Supervisor.
- Must possess certification as a factory-trained technician for diving equipment, DLSS Re-Entry Control (REC) Supervisor, oxygen clean system worker, and MK 25 UBA maintenance technician.
- Drug Testing: Must pass a SAMHSA-certified pre-employment drug test and submit to random drug testing at least twice annually.
- Must possess an active SECRET security clearance.
Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
