Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Custodial Worker to join our facilities maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall sanitation of our premises. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial or residential cleaning, possess strong attention to detail, and adhere strictly to safety protocols. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain high standards of cleanliness across all areas.
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, following proper chemical handling safety procedures.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums efficiently to ensure optimal floor care and sanitation.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment while following safe lifting practices.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, conference rooms, lobbies,elevator, parking lots, and other communal spaces by disinfecting surfaces and replenishing supplies.
- Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as painting touch-ups or light repairs as needed.
- Follow established safety protocols during all custodial activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Support general janitorial functions including waste disposal, window cleaning, and maintaining cleaning supplies inventory.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas meet health and safety standards consistently.
- Complies with company policies procedures and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans using the Open Door Policy and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
- Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources.
Experience
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience in a commercial or residential setting is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and the use of various cleaning equipment.
- Knowledge of chemical agents used in cleaning and their safe handling practices.
- Experience with floor care equipment such as buffers and floor polishers.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocol guidelines.
- Strong customer service skills for interacting professionally with staff and visitors when necessary.
