Summary of position:
The Commercial Tire Technician is responsible for performing tire-related services including, installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial tires ensuring safety and efficiency.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Mount, demount and balance commercial tires and wheels as directed.

Perform tire repairs, including sealing punctures and replacing valve stems.

Inspect tires, wheels and vehicles before and after service to identify additional needs, ensuring safety standards are met.

Road test vehicles.
-
Ensure the service center is clean and safe.
-
Assist in stocking inventory and maintaining supply levels as directed.

Must use PPE, dollies, jacks, hoists, lifts, commercial air tools and various tools in accordance with proper use and safety guidelines.

Use proper ergonomics when lifting to avoid strains.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.

0-1 year work experience in tire services or related field.

Must demonstrate working understanding of tire service procedures, mechanical skills and the ability to lift heavy equipment.

Strong customer service skills and effective communication are essential.

US work authorization.
Required Licenses or Certifications:
-
Driver's License, unrestricted.
-
Maintain TIA & ALI certification upon training received.
Work Environment/Expectations:
-
Work will occur in well-lit, well-ventilated repair shop locations.
-
Exposure is grease, car exhaust and chemicals is expected.
-
Background noise from coworkers, vehicles and various tools is expected.
-
Maintain regular, punctual attendance.
-
Must wear required uniform.
Physical Requirements:

Bending, squatting and working under vehicles is expected.
-
Ability to lift and move at least 100 pounds routinely.
-
Ability to push and pull at least 50 pounds routinely.
-
Use of power tools and mechanic parts are used daily, including heavy duty impact guns for extended periods.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
-
Must be able to walk, talk, listen and speak clearly.
-
Use of fine motor skills is expected.
-
Must be able to raise arms above the head and shoulders for extended periods of time.
