PRINCIPAL DUTIES

Performs general housekeeping duties around asphalt plant facilities, including sweeping, shoveling, cleanup of material spillage, and trash removal.

Removes debris from plant grounds, stockpile areas, roadways, and work areas.

Assists plant personnel with loading, unloading, and movement of materials, tools, parts, and supplies.

Monitors plant grounds and reports unsafe conditions, housekeeping concerns, or equipment issues to plant management.

Assists plant operators and service personnel with routine plant maintenance activities as directed.

Cleans plant equipment, structures, conveyors, and work areas to maintain safe operating conditions.

Assists with plant startup and shutdown activities as directed.

Directs truck traffic within plant facilities when necessary to maintain safe and efficient operations.

Assists with inventory counts and organization of plant materials, supplies, and consumables.
-
May operate forklifts, skid steers, pressure washers, and other light equipment when trained and authorized.

Follows all OSHA, MSHA, company safety policies, and PPE requirements.
PRINICIPAL REQUIREMENTS
Working Conditions:

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as operational needs require.

Works outdoors in varying weather conditions and is exposed to heat, dust, noise, and moving equipment.

Interisland travel may be required.
Equipment Use:
-
Hand tools, power tools, forklifts, skid steers, pressure washers, radios, and other light equipment as assigned. Forklift certification preferred.
Mental and Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.

Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, kneel, crouch, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.

Ability to work safely around heavy equipment, truck traffic, and asphalt production operations.

Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
Communication Demands:
- Must have legible penmanship for documentation of truck number, company, job location,material type for each load (incoming material logs).

Good verbal and written communication skills.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Valid Hawaii driver's license and favorable traffic abstract required.

MSHA certification preferred.

Ability to perform physical labor in an industrial environment.

Basic mechanical aptitude preferred.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety.
