Part-time : (56 hours per pay period) + benefit eligible

The Radiology/CT Staff Technologist is responsible for coordinating and completing daily procedures in the Radiology Department. This includes prioritizing sequence of procedures, completion of actual exam, and following through with all necessary paperwork. They will assist the Lead Technologists and Director of Diagnostic Imaging in the completion of any delegated duties.
Reports to: Director of Diagnostic Imaging
Principal Duties & Responsibilities :
Supports the Mission and Vision of RML Specialty Hospital by demonstrating RML's Core Values of Service, Teamwork, Accountability, Integrity, Respect and Stewardship (STAIRS) in all actions. Promotes a positive patient/customer experience by exemplifying the principles of the Language of Caring in all interactions with patients, families and co-workers.
Will meet department goals and objectives for budget, clinical quality and patient satisfaction. Works with other departments and staff to achieve hospital and departmental goal and objectives. Identifies and participates in implementation of opportunities for improvement in all aspects of operations.
Performs all office duties, such as maintaining logs, records, answering phones QC/QA reports, relaying information between coworkers and ensuring completion before end of shift.
Assistance in Special Procedures as required, including scheduling and proper coding, room preparation, cleaning and packing of trays.
Exemplifies the RML REACH (Service Excellence) culture by demonstrating respect, excellence, appreciation, concern and honor in all interactions with patients, families and co-workers, and as identified in departmental and hospital wide behavioral expectations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS & CHARACTERISTICS
Ability to follow and give direction and instruction as required.
Must possess good communication skills. Must be team oriented, able to work well with co-workers to achieve department and hospital missions.
Must be able to adjust routine and adapt quickly to changes and interruptions in work flow.
Must be knowledgeable in cross sectional anatomy.
Must be able to work cooperatively with hospital and other staff.
Extensive knowledge of General Radiology and CT modalities.
Must be able to work well independently.
Must be able to critique own work in relationship to quality and completeness.
Extensive knowledge of three modalities in Radiology.
I.E.M.A. licensure required.
CPR certification
The physical ability for almost constant standing, walking and lifting, moving patients and patient care equipment.
Must be able to efficiently move and physically operate all equipment used in their job performance.
Hospital environment.
