Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials and recommendations, while effectively upselling items.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience and address any concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and timely food preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing cash handling procedures.
- Assist in training new staff members in serving techniques and restaurant policies as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is preferred, particularly in fine dining
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
- Basic math skills for accurate order taking, cash handling, and processing payments.
- Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- A commitment to upholding sanitation standards and food safety practices in all aspects of service.
