The Role
We are hiring a dual-credentialed Associate Clinician / Substance Abuse Counselor for our Inglewood office. This is a unique opportunity to work in an integrated clinical role — delivering both mental health therapy and SUD counseling to justice involved clients within a structured federal treatment framework.
You will carry a blended caseload of individual and group clients, collaborating closely with U.S. Probation and Pretrial Officers, Bureau of Prisons liaisons, and our clinical leadership team.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Conduct individual therapy sessions (1 hour) and facilitate CBT-based group sessions (1.5 hours) weekly
- Complete clinical intakes including the Addiction Severity Index (ASI) and establish diagnoses
- Develop and update treatment plans quarterly; complete monthly progress reports and discharge summaries for federal supervising officers
- Communicate regularly with U.S. Probation/Pretrial Officers and BOP case managers regarding client progress and attendance
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in (EHR) system
- Attend required supervision, staff development, and in-service training
Essential Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, MFT, or a related behavioral health field
- Active California associate registration — AMFT, ACSW, or APCC (in good standing)
- Active CADC-I/II or SUDCC-I/II certification
- Minimum 1 year of counseling experience, including SUD counseling
- Proficiency in Cognitive Behavioral Treatment (CBT)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office
