Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant plays a critical role on the ClaimsBridge finance team, owning day-to-day accounting operations — including AR/AP, fee claim reconciliation, and cash application — while partnering with the VP of Finance to build out formal month-end close processes, accruals, and reconciliations as the company scales. This position requires strong technical accounting skills, exceptional organizational ability, and comfort building structure and process where none currently exists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end accounts payable, including vendor payments and coding.
- Own end-to-end accounts receivable and invoicing — preparing and distributing all client invoices, cash application, and reconciling client and vendor payments.
- Manage collections and AR reporting: monitor delinquent accounts monthly, maintain aging documentation, and communicate issues to the VP of Finance and Account Managers.
- Process daily cash receipts: deposit all checks within 48 hours of receipt, record them promptly, monitor bank accounts for accurate recording, and flag unidentified or unmatched payments to the finance team and Account Management.
- Reconcile all Fee Claim payments within 48 hours of receipt and provide weekly updated Fee Claim payment reports.
- Prepare and record monthly accruals, prepaids, and other journal entries to ensure accurate period-end financials.
- Partner with the VP of Finance to design, document, and implement a formal month-end close process, including a close calendar, checklists, and reconciliation schedules.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances.
- Support the VP of Finance with special projects, inquiries, and daily operational needs.
Education & Experience:
- 3+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including full-cycle AP/AR and general ledger work, preferably in a corporate or SaaS environment.
- Demonstrated experience owning or building processes, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage complex, multi-source reconciliations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred

Pay: $72,000.00 - $88,000.00 per year
