PART-TIME NOC: CNA/CAREGIVER
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated CNA / CAREGIVER to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in our community. The CNA / CAREGIVER will play a critical role in assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient health, and maintaining accurate medical records. Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Help with mobility and transportation of patients within the facility.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in patient areas to promote a healthy environment.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding any changes in patient conditions or needs.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients to enhance their well-being.
- Participate in training sessions and continuing education opportunities to stay updated on best practices in patient care.
- Medication administration (REQUIRED)
Requirements
- Previous experience in long-term care, nursing homes, or home community care is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical records management and electronic health record systems is a plus.
- Ability to take vital signs accurately and respond appropriately to changes in patient conditions.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach towards senior care.
- Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently when required.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is acceptable.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by healthcare regulations.
- Medication administration (REQUIRED)
- Must be over 18 years of age. Must be able to work 8 hours shifts.
