This position is responsible for assembling and testing products of high complexity including automated, electronic hydraulic and pneumatic components as multiple moving parts. Other responsibilities include fit-up welding and troubleshooting.
Job Duties:

Complies with all safety rules and regulations. Assembles components to create saleable product of all complexities. Make sure all guards and covers are installed after paint

Performs fit-up welding to secure parts when called out by the print

Builds and wires motorized components. Make sure all limit switches are located per print

Troubleshoots automated, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic components during assembly process and resolve issues

Performs proof test on all units and corrects deficiencies. Makes jigs, as needed, to attach parts to the proof testing equipment

Affixes tags and decals to product according to the work instructions in the tagging book

Grinds and applies touch-up paint to areas in need of clean-up

Tears down, analyzes and performs Inspect and Advise (I&A) operation for customer-owned units

Maintain clean and safe work environment. Reports defective tools and equipment

Minimum Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum Work Experience:
-
Eight years’ mechanical assembly experience
-
Three years of fit-up welding experience operating an overhead crane
Minimum Skill Requirements:

Ability to assemble and troubleshoot all Caldwell products at levels

Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints

Ability to use voltage meters, amp meters, hand tools, and power tools

Knowledge of electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

Proven ability to read a tape measure
Physical Requirements:
Employee is continuously required to stand. Employee frequently is required to walk, twist or turn, and stoop and bend. Employee occasionally must push/pull, squat, crawl/kneel, climb, balance, drive (forklift), reach overhead, engage in repetitive hand/wrist motion and forearm rotation, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
