Job Title: Manager of Sign Manufacturing (Interior, Exterior & Illuminated Signage)
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced “hands-on” Sign Manufacturing Manager to lead production operations across interior, exterior, and illuminated signage. This role is responsible for overseeing the entire manufacturing process—from design interpretation and material procurement to fabrication, assembly, quality control, and delivery.
This role is for someone who leads from the floor—not from behind a desk. We are hiring a working leader who can set the pace, outproduce, outwork, and out-execute the team when needed. You will be on the floor daily—building, fixing, pushing jobs across the finish line, and setting the standard through action.
Key Responsibilities: Hands-On Production Management
- Manage daily operations of the sign manufacturing department, including scheduling, print, fabrication, assembly and finishing
- Coordinate with design, sales, and installation teams along with other management to ensure seamless project execution
- Must be able and willing to actively participate on the floor in fabrication, assembly, wiring, and finishing of signs; operate and assist with equipment including CNC routers, welders, saws, and bending tools; build and oversee interior signage, exterior signage, and illuminated signs (channel letters, LED systems)
Qualification Requirements:
- 5-10 + years of experience in sign manufacturing industry
- 3+ years in a supervisory or management role
- Strong knowledge of interior, exterior, and illuminated signage production
- Experience with fabrication tools, CNC machines, and electrical components (LED systems)
- Experience in interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications for all types of signage
- Can effectively ensure proper fabrication techniques for materials such as aluminum, acrylic, steel, vinyl, and LED components
- Oversee the production of illuminated signs, including channel letters, lightboxes, and LED retrofits
- Experience with large-scale or multi-location retail signage programs
- Experience with ERP systems
- Preferred familiarity with design and production software (CAD, Adobe Suite)
- Preferred experience in large-format printing, vinyl application, or digital signage
