Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various machining equipment to produce high-quality components. Your expertise in blueprint reading, CNC programming, welding, and precision measurement will ensure that production standards are consistently met or exceeded. Duties
- Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements and specifications
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brake machines, grinders, and other machining tools with precision
- Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust parameters for optimal performance
- Perform welding tasks including MIG welding, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality specifications
- Conduct tooling setup, calibration, and adjustments to maintain machining accuracy and efficiency
- Use precision measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges for quality control inspections
- Follow safety protocols by utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean work environment
- Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects, assembly tasks, and lean manufacturing initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation of production processes, measurements, and quality checks
- Operate forklifts and handle warehouse logistics as needed to support material movement
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing or machining environments with hands-on knowledge of CNC programming (SolidWorks experience is a plus)
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings
- Skilled in MIG welding, fabrication, tool setup, and use of hand tools and power tools
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, CAM programming, and press brake operations
- Ability to perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring instruments for quality control purposes
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and machine adjustments
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments including PPE use and proper handling of machinery
- Warehouse experience is advantageous for material handling and logistics coordination
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in machining accuracy and quality assurance
