Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Dental Patient Care Coordinator to join our vibrant dental team! In this pivotal role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from appointment scheduling to treatment coordination. Your energetic approach and excellent communication skills will help foster positive relationships, manage patient inquiries, verify insurance benefits, and support the overall administrative operations of our busy dental practice. This position offers full-time opportunity with flexibility during the week by offering extended hours Monday-Thursday.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional customer service at the front desk, managing multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy
- Schedule appointments efficiently using Eaglesoft dental practice management software
- Verify insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility using Dental Intel & Overjet
- Review and update patient medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining meticulous documentation review practices
- Assist patients with intake procedures, including collecting medical history forms and explaining treatment plan costs in clear, understandable terms
- Manage billing processes by handling account balance collections at time of service
Requirements & Recommended Experience
- Proven experience in a dental or medical office environment
- Ability to work full 12 hour extended days as scheduled Monday-Thursday
- Knowledge of insurance verification processes, HIPAA compliance
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and health information management software
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently and stress-free in a fast-paced setting with multiple providers
- Exceptional phone etiquette with experience managing multi-line phone systems and providing outstanding patient service
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively
- Previous clinic or dental office experience is recommended; familiarity with dental office management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is a plus
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining accuracy in documentation review and medical records management
Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
