Overview
We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented recent Bachelor’s degree graduates to join our growing analytical laboratory team as Entry-Level Analytical Chemists. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to apply your foundational knowledge in Chemistry to real-world clinical testing, working with advanced instrumentation, and developing professional analytical skills.
What You Will Do
As an Entry-Level Analytical Chemist, you will play a vital role in the accurate and efficient testing of samples. Your responsibilities will include:
- Sample Preparation: Learn and execute proper protocols for preparing urine and oral fluid specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Instrumentation Application: Assist in the operation, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting of advanced analytical instruments, including the Beckman Coulter AU680 chemistry analyzer and LC-MS/MS systems.
- Data Handling: Accurately record raw data, perform calculations, and assist in the review of results to ensure data integrity.
- Quality Control: Strictly follow all established laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality control procedures to ensure the reliability of test results.
- Documentation: Maintain meticulous and organized laboratory records and documentation.
- Safety & Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with experienced analysts and team members to achieve accurate and timely test results.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field is required.
- Academic Foundation: Demonstrated strong academic performance and a solid understanding of core chemical principles and analytical methods.
- Aptitude: Strong aptitude for problem-solving, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy.
- Technical Skills (Advantageous): Familiarity with HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) and/or MS (Mass Spectrometry) concepts is highly desirable.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Schedule: Flexibility to work the required evening/overnight shifts and weekends is essential.
