About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliability of our plant's mechanical and hydraulic systems. This role involves a blend of equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and fabrication to support continuous operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong commitment to safety and efficiency in a manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities
- Execute mechanical and hydraulic repairs on industrial equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with mechanical drives and manufacturing equipment, minimizing downtime.
- Fabricate and weld parts for equipment installation and repair, enhancing system functionality.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to proactively address potential equipment failures.
- Document all maintenance activities accurately, adhering to company standards.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including LOTO and Arc Flash, to ensure a safe working environment.
- Champion safe work practices and promote a culture of safety awareness.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in industrial mechanical and hydraulic maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Strong welding, cutting, and fabrication abilities.
- Knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations.
- Trade or technical school diploma (welding, hydraulics, blueprint reading, mechanical training).
- Welding certifications (3G Plate or similar).
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
