The role is responsible for supporting and improving manufacturing automation, equipment controls, and process performance. This role focuses on troubleshooting, controls integration, process optimization, and establishing sustainable automation standards across the manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, controls, instrumentation, and automation issues on production equipment.
- Support PLC, HMI, servo/stepper motor, sensor, and machine control systems.
- Implement process improvements and optimize equipment performance to reduce downtime.
- Develop and maintain automation control standards, system documentation, and functional specifications.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations teams on equipment upgrades and process enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with machine safety standards and industry best practices.
- Support equipment validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) and operator training.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in controls engineering, automation, machine startup, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Strong experience with PLCs and HMI development.
- Experience integrating servo systems, sensors, vision systems, and automated equipment.
- Knowledge of machine safety standards (ISO, NFPA, NEC, ANSI) and industrial controls.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SPC, and manufacturing process controls. Strong problem-solving, project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
