Job Summary
We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Housekeepers to join our team, working from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM. In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall hygiene of healthcare facilities or similar environments. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, and hallways using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
- Handle laundry duties efficiently, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and clothing items.
- Maintain sanitation standards by properly handling chemical agents in accordance with OSHA guidelines and safety protocols.
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to ensure surfaces are spotless and safe.
- Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks while following safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Follow healthcare infection prevention and control procedures diligently to uphold hygiene standards in healthcare environments.
- Document cleaning activities accurately and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
Requirements
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare facilities or similar environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to chemical handling, environmental services, and safety protocol adherence.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and use cleaning equipment effectively.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude towards staff and visitors.
- Familiarity with healthcare infection prevention practices is a plus.
- Excellent manual handling skills with attention to detail in sanitation procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
