Location: Multiple Locations – St. Clair County, Michigan
Job Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week (occasional evenings, weekends, and emergency response as needed)

What You'll Do
As the Facilities & Maintenance Coordinator, you'll oversee the day-to-day maintenance and operation of our healthcare facilities while coordinating vendors and ensuring our buildings remain safe, compliant, and operating efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
Facility Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of building systems and equipment.
- Complete minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance tasks.
- Conduct facility inspections and identify maintenance needs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize repairs.
- Maintain work orders and maintenance documentation.
- Coordinate larger repairs with outside contractors.
Grounds & Property Maintenance
- Maintain attractive and safe grounds through lawn care, landscaping, and seasonal maintenance.
- Perform mowing, trimming, edging, snow removal, and ice control.
- Monitor properties for safety hazards and correct issues promptly.
- Coordinate landscaping and snow removal contractors.
Facilities Operations
- Monitor HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, security, and access control systems.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracted service providers.
- Oversee custodial services to ensure quality standards are met.
- Coordinate office moves, furniture installation, workspace modifications, and fleet vehicle maintenance.
Safety & Compliance
- Help ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, environmental, and healthcare facility requirements.
- Participate in facility inspections and emergency preparedness activities.
- Maintain maintenance records, certifications, inspections, and service documentation.
- Help maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Administrative Support
- Track maintenance expenses and assist with facilities budgeting.
- Manage maintenance inventory and supplies.
- Maintain warranty, repair, inspection, and fleet maintenance records.
- Prepare reports and assist with facility improvement projects.
What We're Looking For
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Skilled trade education or technical training is a plus.
Experience
We're looking for someone with hands-on maintenance experience and the ability to coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Ideal candidates will have experience with:
- Building maintenance and repair
- HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Preventive maintenance programs
- Vendor and contractor coordination
- Work order management systems (CMMS)
- Facility inspections and regulatory compliance
- Inventory management and purchasing
- Microsoft Office applications
Licensure
- Valid Michigan driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Physical & Work Environment
This position combines office work with hands-on maintenance responsibilities across multiple Community First Health Centers locations. The role requires frequent walking, standing, climbing ladders, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Occasional evening, weekend, or emergency response work may be required.
