T. Whitaker Painting is growing and we are seeking experienced, motivated, professional painters. We are an established family-owned residential painting company. We do small repairs throughout the job; all phases of interior and exterior painting; paint cabinets, doors and tile; wallpaper and epoxy garage floors. Our quality workmanship and customer service are the foundation of our business.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of professional painting experience required
- Competent in rolling and brushing
- Ability to cut-in sharp lines is a must
- Competent in wall prep including scraping, sanding, joint compound, nail pops and seam repair
- Speed while maintaining quality, to complete jobs on budget
- Organized with clean/neat work practices and attention to detail
- Follow safe working practices
- Ability to follow instructions and work without constant supervision
- Be coachable and willing to grow and learn new skills
- Professional and customer service oriented
- Team player and respectful of others
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs
- Work in heights upwards of 20 feet
- Driver’s License required with your own reliable vehicle to get to and from job site
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Willing to submit to a background check and drug test
- US work authorization
- Willing to work within our service areas (Ocean, Monmouth, Atlantic Counties)
- Experience with wallpaper and power washing/soft washing a plus
