Steiner Builders | Full-Time | Exempt
At Steiner Builders, we don’t just build projects—we bring complex visions to life. As part of the broader Steiner + Associates platform, our work shapes some of the region’s most dynamic mixed-use environments. We’re looking for a Senior Construction Project Manager who thrives in complexity, leads with confidence, and knows how to drive results without losing sight of relationships.
This is a high-impact role for a seasoned professional who enjoys owning projects from concept to completion—and influencing everything in between.
As a Senior Construction Project Manager, you’ll lead large-scale commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout—owning the process, the outcomes, and the relationships that make it all work.
- Lead complex projects end-to-end — from early planning and estimating through final delivery
- Drive preconstruction strategy — budgeting, bidding, negotiation, and setting projects up for success
- Own financial performance — manage budgets, forecasts, and reporting with a sharp eye on cost control
- Build and maintain schedules — ensuring milestones are met and risks are proactively addressed
- Manage contracts and procurement — including subcontractor selection, negotiation, and performance
- Serve as the primary point of contact — for owners, architects, engineers, and key stakeholders
- Champion safety and quality — ensuring compliance with all standards, codes, and regulations
- Anticipate and mitigate risk — solving problems before they impact the project
- Lead project communication — run meetings, provide updates, and keep stakeholders aligned
- Develop your team — mentor Project Managers and support staff, elevating performance across the board
- Oversee documentation and closeout — ensuring everything is accurate, complete, and delivered on time
- 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial construction project management
- Proven success leading large, complex projects
- Strong working knowledge of contracts, scheduling, cost control, and risk management
- Ability to lead teams while building strong relationships with clients and partners
- Excellent communication skills—clear, direct, and professional
- Proficiency in tools like Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- OSHA 30 (preferred)
- Experience managing projects $3M+
- Background in Design-Build or CMAR delivery methods
- Experience in retail, restaurant, mixed-use, or office environments
- Prior experience as an owner’s representative or construction consultant
- Deep familiarity with Procore as a primary platform
This role blends office and on-site leadership. You’ll spend time both in a professional office setting and actively engaged on construction sites—indoors and outdoors—leading teams where the work is happening.
We’re a team that values ownership, collaboration, and follow-through. You’ll have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects, partner with experienced leaders, and play a key role in shaping environments that people experience every day.
If you’re ready to lead projects that matter—and work with a team that expects (and supports) excellence—we’d love to connect.
