Join our dynamic legal team as a Senior Real Estate Paralegal and become a vital contributor to complex real estate transactions and legal support functions. Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and organize legal documents related to real estate transactions including purchase agreements, leases, title reports, and closing statements.
- Conducted comprehensive reviews of title reports and commitments, drafted strategic title memoranda and objection letters, and coordinated the successful issuance of loan and owner’s policies.
- Evaluated ALTA surveys and engineered precise compliance comments aligned with strict industry standards.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research on property laws, zoning regulations, environmental law considerations, UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), and procedural law to support transaction accuracy.
- Manage case files using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw; ensure all records are current, accurate, and easily accessible.
- Coordinate with clients, attorneys, title companies, lenders, and government agencies to facilitate smooth transaction processes.
- Assist in due diligence activities including title review, survey analysis, environmental assessments, and compliance checks with tribal law & regulations when applicable.
- Support project management efforts by tracking deadlines, preparing status reports, and ensuring timely completion of all legal tasks.
- Draft and proofread legal documents with precision; handle confidential information with integrity while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- Utilize research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw for legal research related to securities law, family law issues impacting real estate transactions, landlord-tenant law matters, workers' compensation law considerations in property cases, and other relevant areas.
- Provide executive administrative support by managing calendars, scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence, and handling phone etiquette professionally.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of strong real estate paralegal experience. Prior experience practicing within an Am Law 100 or 200 law firm is highly preferred.
- Paralegal certificate required and Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of estate planning principles applicable to real estate assets.
- Strong understanding of environmental law issues affecting property development and ownership.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with UCC law for secured transactions involving real estate collateral.
- Proficiency in legal software such as iManage and PCLaw for case management and billing purposes.
- Excellent research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw to gather relevant legal information quickly.
- Experience with civil litigation support including document review, legal writing, proofreading, transcription and contract drafting.
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining compliance with procedural laws.
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for document preparation and data entry tasks.
Pay: $150,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
