Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented full charge Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and dispatching transportation vehicles efficiently. Oversight of 50-75 vehicles would be needed.
Duties:
- Coordinate and schedule transportation services
- Monitor routes and track drivers' progress
- Can effectively communicate with drivers, customers, and team members
- Full knowledge of email protocols and ability to use Office products
- Utilize transportation management systems for efficient operations
- Dispatch vehicles using GPS and tracking technology
- Ensure timely delivery of goods
- Handle emergency situations effectively
- To open operating business day and be on site by 4:00AM
- Ability to think proactively on dispatch plan activities as well as can react to the inevitable problems/ issues of the day
Experience:
- Previous experience in dispatching / fleet management in an LTL or TL environment
- Proficiency in TMS, supply chain, and freight logistics
- Knowledge of transportation management systems
- Have strong communication skills to interact with drivers and clients effectively
- Familiarity with GPS technology for tracking vehicles
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent phone etiquette for clear communication
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is preferable but not required
