Elev8 Recovery Center is located in Harlem, NY. We are a first-class inpatient treatment center offering top-level medical care and evidence-based clinical care for individuals suffering from substance use disorder. We are seeking passionate and motivated Nurse Aides to join our team of addiction treatment professionals!
The Nurse Aide acts as support staff to the nursing team in charge assuring completion of all medical protocols. The Nurses Aide assists in the delivery of substance abuse treatment by meeting the client’s immediate needs for direction, information, motivation, guidance, nourishment, shelter, and safe escort outside the facility.
SHIFTS AVAILABLE: 3 x 12 (7:00am - 7:00pm) OR (7:00pm - 7:00am)
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct initial intake assessments for clients entering into the detox or rehabilitation program.

Conduct sedative and opiate withdrawal assessments as directed by charge nurse every 4 hours.

Communication regarding client activity to the counseling and nursing staff.

Aware of the chain of command and uses the available professional personnel for direction.

Observe clients for behavior inconsistent with treatment goals.

Assure that clients adhere to program activity schedule.

Escort the client to destinations outside the facility.

Transport the clients to units throughout the facility when needed.

Make room checks on all clients.

Record all room checks, arrivals, and departures from the facility on shift to shift report.

Maintenance of population board updated each shift to include admissions and discharges.

Clerical maintenance of client’s medical record.

Monitor linen supplies and replenish as needed each shift.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma

Knowledge of Substance Abuse Treatment

Computer skills are required
