Job Title: Sr. System Engineer

Our client, a leading federal defense contractor, is seeking a Sr. Modem Software Engineer to support a new Restricted Ground Systems program in Scottsdale, AZ. This role will support the design, development, and integration of mission-critical Ground Systems for government customers.
Key Responsibilities:

Support system design, integration, testing, and validation activities

Perform requirements analysis, system decomposition, and interface definition

Coordinate external interfaces and ICDs

Support technical planning, risk analysis, and system performance evaluation

Work within Agile development environments across cross-functional engineering teams

Contribute to system security, modeling & simulation, and technical documentation efforts

Identify and resolve complex system and software design challenges
-
Support customer interactions and technical discussions
Required Qualifications:
-
Active DoD TS/SCI clearance required at time of hire

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field with 8+ years of experience, OR Master's degree with 6+ years of experience

Experience with modem software, ground systems, and systems integration

Strong understanding of multi-level security / cross-domain environments

Experience coordinating external interfaces and ICDs

Agile development experience

Ability to independently manage technical complexity and requirements decomposition

Strong problem-solving and communication skills

US Citizenship required due to government contract requirements
