Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. This vital role involves maintaining and repairing a wide range of building systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC components. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical circuits, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and mechanical components using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment.
- Conduct residential painting, carpentry, welding, and other general facilities maintenance tasks to uphold the property's appearance and safety standards.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals to accurately diagnose problems and implement solutions.
- Supervise or assist with subcontractors or team members during complex repairs or installations while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, asset history, and inventory levels.
- Respond promptly to guest requests or emergencies related to facilities issues with professionalism and customer service excellence.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within hospitality, manufacturing, or residential settings.
- Strong electrical experience with knowledge of schematics, PLC programming basics, and troubleshooting electrical circuits.
- Mechanical knowledge including HVAC systems, plumbing repairs, welding techniques, and residential painting skills.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and asset tracking.
- Ability to read technical schematics and use tools such as ohmmeters effectively.
- Supervising experience leading maintenance teams or projects is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and teamwork.
