American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU/Interventional Cardiac position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, sheath pull proficiency, and Epic EMR skills, with no weekend or holiday requirements.

Interventional cardiac/procedure unit within a hospital setting

Patient population includes pre/post invasive and diagnostic procedures such as cardioversion, angiogram, elective PCI, EP procedures (ablation, lead placement, pacer placement), pre-TAVR, Mitral Clip, and same-day structural heart procedure recovery

Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3

Day shift, 3x10-hour shifts (11:00–21:30)

No weekends, no holidays, and no on-call requirements

Floating required to like units within the state; travelers must remain flexible to float assignments

Epic EMR experience required

Procedures and skills utilized include TEE, cardioversion/defibrillation, procedure sedation, blood/blood product administration, epicardial pacer management, sheath removal, telemetry interpretation, and management of heparin and insulin drips

Active WA state RN license or valid compact RN license required

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Strong interventional cardiac experience required, including sheath pull, stable drips, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management

Proficiency with IV skills required

Epic EMR experience required

Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty and setting

Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

First-time travelers are not accepted for this position

Former permanent employees of any Providence/Swedish facility must have been separated for at least 3 months before being eligible, and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Former permanent employees of non-Swedish Providence facilities are eligible for a travel contract after a 3-month separation period

Minimal RTO is expected; excessive time-off requests may impact eligibility for this role
