Position Overview:
Camanche Elementary is seeking a compassionate, student-centered Elementary School Counselor to support student needs to achieve academic success, college and career readiness and social/emotional development. The counselor will collaborate with staff, families, and the community to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide short-term individual and small group counseling to support student needs

Deliver classroom lessons aligned to a comprehensive school counseling program

Assist students with social-emotional learning, conflict resolution, and coping skills

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success

Participate in problem-solving teams (SWIT-School Wide Intervention Team)

Respond to student crises and provide appropriate support and referrals

Coordinate with community agencies and outside services as needed

Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with regulations
