Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Oral Surgery Receptionist to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and efficiently check them in and out using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system - DSN.
- Schedule appointments accurately while coordinating with clinical staff and managing multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy.
- Review patient documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with HIPAA regulations; update medical records accordingly.
- Maintain organized filing systems for medical records, dental records, and office documents; manage electronic health information.
- Support clinic operations by performing office management duties such as data entry, typing reports, managing care plans, and handling clerical tasks efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with health information management standards and assist in HIPAA training or audits when necessary.
- Provide excellent patient service by answering inquiries via phone etiquette, scheduling follow-ups, and assisting with intake procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a medical or dental office setting, preferably as a receptionist or front desk coordinator within an oral surgery or dental clinic environment.
- Familiarity with medical billing processes including insurance verification, claims submission, and collections; experience with Meditech or eClinicalWorks is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and filing procedures.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and positive attitude.
- Office management experience including scheduling appointments, managing patient intake processes, and handling medical records is preferred. Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
